In this varied and international role, you will support our Global Logistics & Customs team in their day-to-day operations and gain fascinating insights into international transport logistics, as well as customs and foreign trade.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with the organisation and monitoring of international shipments (land, sea and air freight)
• Helping to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across our global supply chain
• Assisting with the preparation, checking and management of export and customs documents
• Maintaining and checking customs-related master data
• Assisting with communication with freight forwarders, customs agents and authorities
• Assisting with the analysis of transport key performance indicators and the optimisation of logistics processes
• Supporting the team with operational issues relating to transport and customs
• Contribution to national and international projects within the Global Logistics & Customs department
Required skills and experience:
• A current degree or vocational training programme, ideally in logistics, freight forwarding, customs (CH / DE), supply chain management or business
• An interest in international customs, foreign trade and logistics processes
• A good command of German and a basic knowledge of English
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SAP (S/4 HANA) would be an advantage
• A meticulous, structured and reliable approach to work
• A willingness to learn, the ability to take the initiative and a passion for working as part of a team
