SAP Developer ABAP (d/f/m)

In this varied and challenging position you will be responsible for creating or selecting suitable methods, techniques, standards, guidelines and tools for the SAP development and maintenance. In the course of your duties, you will support the SAP Inhouse Consultants in analyzing existing programs and making statements about their extensibility. You are also responsible for the continuous optimization of the developed code regarding performance, maintainability and reusability of our SAP application with the industry solution AFS.  Furthermore you will take a central role within the upcoming S/4 HANA project. The final elements of your exciting job profile include the creation of technical specifications for the enhancements and interfaces as well as the independent assumption of responsibility for their implementation.

Required experience and skills:

  • a successfully completed degree in the field of computer science or business information systems
  • relevant professional experience in the conception and implementation of SAP developments with ABAP/ ABAP OO and Web Dynpro
  • willingness for continuous education and evaluation of new technologies (especially SAPUI5, Fiori, SAP HANA)
  • ideally knowledge of an additional programming language (C#, Java, JavaScript)
  • experience in an SAP module and cross-module knowledge as well as knowledge of dialog applications, reporting and interface programming
  • business process knowledge in a retail environment, ideally in the textile industry, is an advantage
  • good command of English, both written and spoken
  • strong conceptual and analytical skills
  • independent, structured and self-reliant way of working as well as team spirit
